My career in the IT industry is extensive with experience at both independent companies such as WebServe Canada and my own IT consulting company, to large corporations including the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and London Drugs. I have demonstrated my strong managerial abilities by building and motivating highly effective teams. Under my leadership I have ensured that teams are working together so that objectives and deliverables are met. I am a good facilitator who is flexible but still effectively negotiates and manages projects to ensure that the scope, deliverables, time frames and budgets are controlled. Client satisfaction and customer retention are paramount achievements in everything I do.
I am results oriented individual whose strengths include IT policy/procedure development and implementation and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and time lines. I possess advanced communication skills and am able to convey complex technical concepts and issues to a variety of audiences. This is further highlighted by my in-depth written report and oral presentation skills. My experiences running my own business as well as working for various companies has honed my abilities to set priorities and achieve business goals while meeting operational requirements.
